Why Are Links Useful?

I have probably hundreds of pages in my bullet journal, and that number is growing daily. Sometimes I want to make a note that relates to another note.

For example, this is my budget tab. You can see “Car Parts” in the budget list. Next to it is a link to the list of car parts we need to purchase. Rather than retyping the list in this tab, or having to search for it, I can simply click the blue link to be taken to the list.

So how can you add these incredibly helpful links to your OneNote?

This is my daily log. Notice the item “Update cleaning list” at the bottom. We have a couple of cleaning jobs that we do on the side, and I keep a checklist so that nothing is forgotten. I want to add the link to that list here. To do so, I make sure my cursor is placed at the end of the item.

In the box that pops up, you have the option to type in the text you would like to see, as well a web address. Or you can choose a location in OneNote to link to. I have gone to my “Business” tab and chosen “Cleaning Checklist.” Next, click “OK.”
