How to Survive Without an Oven ...and Still Eat Delicious, Healthy Meals

ovenThis will probably sound weird, but I haven’t had a working oven in over 3 years. This makes cooking more of a challenge, but definitely one that can be overcome. We use a countertop roaster, a slow cooker, a NuWave induction cooktop, and my favorite, a NuWave oven. We have a few other kitchen appliances, too, but those are the ones we use the most. Sometimes I use more than one at a time to complete a meal. I’ve cooked everything from scrambled eggs to a turkey meal for 20 people. Going Paperless Throughout the House

paperlessA while back, I shared this article about reducing your trash output. One of the ways we did this was going paperless in as many areas of our home as possible. When I first looked into going paperless, it seemed a bit intimidating. But it was simpler than I expected, and to be honest, we haven’t missed paper products. Plus going paperless has great benefits-it’s good for the environment, it saves money, and reduces the amount of trash we produce.
