We just got back from a trip to Disneyland with friends. (Read part 1 here.) It was my first visit, and now I have a new hobby-pin collecting! I would like to share the pins we collected and what we love about them!
Tangled is my favorite princess movie. I relate to Rapunzel for personal reasons, so I can watch this one over and over. The top four were a set that my good friend bought for me. But since the set didn’t have Flynn/Eugene, I had to add him to the collection. Now I just need Maximus!
I love cats in general, and Disney cats are the best! I quote Marie often: “Ladies do not start fights, but they can finish them!” “We are Siamese if you please. We are Siamese if you don’t please!” gets stuck in my head a lot, too. So I had to have this set.
I’m drawn to anything with a vintage or classic feel, so this Dapper Dan Quartet set caught my eye. I had seen it for sale a few times but skipped it, then decided I wanted it on the last day. Of course at that point, I almost couldn’t find it! I’m so glad I did!
My husband and I picked these three sets out together so we could each wear one of each on our lanyards. We chose Oswald and Ortensia because they are classics. We are huge Star Wars nerds, so we grabbed the Han and Leia set fast. We met through mutual friends as a group going to see Star Wars! And both of us grew up with Chip n Dale, so we snatched that set up pretty quick.
This is the pin we received with our tickets and lanyards. Since we each got one, we used one to trade.
I found this one at a shop in California Adventure. Knick Knack is my favorite Pixar short, so I couldn’t resist this guy.
I appreciate the creativity in this pin. My husband traded to get this one for me. There are 5 others in the set that I hope to acquire.
Walking around Cars Land, my husband wanted a Mater pin. He came across this one of Mater wearing a Goofy hat. It reflects his personality and sense of humor perfectly.
This is another of my husband’s picks. Eeyore is his favorite for sentimental reasons, and we actually had a bit of a tough time finding him. My husband’s eyes lit up when he saw this pin.
When I was a kid, we had a VHS tape of the Goofy World of Sports. I think my brother and I might have worn it out we watched it so many times! We traded for these pins, too. But finding them was like finding a piece of my childhood. There are 4 more in this set that I hope to find, too.
My hubby had to have this pin when he saw it! Again this choice goes back to our love of the classics. And I surprised him with the hat later.
I picked these ones for my husband. We both grew up with these cartoons, and have recently acquired the DVDs. I saw these and had to have them for my guy.
We have found a new hobby that we can enjoy together and hope to be adding to soon! What are your favorite Disney pins? Let us know in the comments below!
